Owner — Dr Karin Kruger

Dr Kruger earned her veterinary degree (BVSc) at the University of Pretoria in 2006 and completed a twelve-month internship in equine medicine and surgery there in 2007. She worked in private practice at Fourways Equine Clinic in Midrand before returning to the University of Pretoria.

In 2009 she joined North Carolina State University (NCSU), where she completed a three-year residency and became a board-certified specialist in equine internal medicine in the United States. She is also recognised as a specialist equine veterinarian by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the United Kingdom.

Karin has worked as an equine internal medicine specialist in referral hospitals in South Africa, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Since 2023 she has been based in the Netherlands, where she continues to provide specialist services, whilst breeding top quality sport horses. She has a particular interest in cardiology, sport medicine, poor performance, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM), and acupuncture. After many years in specialist practice, she integrated TCVM and acupuncture—completed at the Chi Institute in Florida—to support better outcomes for her patients.

Dr Karin Kruger offers specialist services in internal medicine, sport medicine, lameness and poor performance, and integrative medicine including acupuncture.

Outside work she remains a competitive rider. Until 2025 she competed with her Belgian Warmblood show jumper Bella, at competes at 1* international level.

She is now focused on training her young horses which you can see on this site.
